last night i got dolled up for a party and realized i don't have that many intermediate clothes. i'm at both extremes. super shiney shadi silks and casual cottons. can anyone else empathize?

yes. shawls are the equalizers of the desi wardrobe. too shiny outfit? cover it up with a muted shawl. too drab a cottony ensemble? dress is up with a flashy chador vith lots of vork on it.

wow baji. i must say, THAT is some flashy idea. Not flashy, but flashy as in totally awesome because, yes, i just made up my new slang word. And I know everyone wants to use it now.
